#bitcoin Lightning wallets - what is the fuss about ?

As a user I love custodial lightning wallet(s) .. I have no intent to set up my own permanent lightning node .. I did one just to experiment and lost 100 k #sats ( around 60 dollars ), but I take it as cost of learning .. and it didn't make me feel any less about #lightning

Agree "wallet of Satoshi" was banned in US but there are many other choices ..

For the longest time , I had difficulty understanding what is different in #lightning wallet verses a #Bitcoin wallet ..

Why don't they just call them #Sats wallet verses #btc wallet .. Bitcoiners have a way to confuse common people :-)

If #social media could be nostrified , I guess apps such as #rideShare , #retail , #banking , #education #versionControl #navigation etc would be easier cuz they are lot more standardised.. payments being the complex part which is already sorted out with #lightning zaps .

In a way social is a giant funnel to get the users in. Once they have the login figured out (with nsec or extensions), getting them to other apps gets exponentially easier ..

Wondering if there is a list of beyond social apps ? Atleast what projects are in progress !
